Har hengt litt bakpå ift rykter pga påsken, men her er da litt:

Sitat:
This week we had some mixed rumors, which included a conflicting bit about Space Marines being released in June. Otherwise most of the week was filled to the brim about the new Tau release that are now up for pre-orders.

The alien is not intrinsically evil. Do not hate him. Pity him his ignorance. Seek to understand his differences And acquaint him with his inadequacies. Only then will he accept his place in the Greater Good. -Firewarrior

Tau
This week seemed to be all about the Tau, and what information could be gleaned from the pages of early White Dwarf holders. From images to rules, we were able to get a glimpse into what the new Tau codex is going to look like.

Here are a few of the things we have learned from various sources, Siyath, librerian_samae, revenant J J, Sildani, and Dominic.

*The artist for that fantastic cover art is Raymond Swanland
*Longstrike gives his tank BS5, Tank Hunter and Preferred Enemy: IG
*Darkstrider's actual name seems to be Mayamoto. He makes the squad of FWs or Pathfinders he joins treat their target unit as having -1T.
*There is some disagreement on Crisis Suit Team size whether its 3 or 4 (probably 3)
*Pathfinders appear to have lost a point of armor
*Stealth suits still get Stealth and Shrouded
*Broadsides still get TL plasma or SMS as secondary weapons, in addition to a single Seeker on a shoulder mount
*The Broadside's alternate primary, the High Yield Missile Pod, appears to be an amped-up MP rather than an SMS variant
*The Recon Drone (the big one in the Pathfinder kit) sits in the turret cupola of a devilfish, and serves some kind of C&C and fire support role... and carries a burst cannon!
*It looks like the Commander comes with more than one set of hands (or his hands are poseable), as they're shown both open-handed and fists-clenched.
*The Dawn Blade is described as being a power glaive.
*Shadowsun's shield drones are not the standard type. Hers are called out specifically as MV52 Shield Drones.
*She also appears to be able to join units now, as in the battrep she is deployed in the middle of the stealth unit and later the 'nid player refers to the XV-15s as "her Stealth team" as a Zoathrope brood and Tyrant open up on them, finishing off the team and wounding her.
*Markerlights appear to be able to completely negate a cover save with a single hit. Other uses sound like they're the same.
*Submunition rounds are apparently an upgrade for the Hammerhead.
*Repulsor Impact Field: carried by one of the Shas'vre bodyguards. D6 S4 AP- hits to an attacker at initiative 10! It gacks a Genestealer at one point.
*Sun Sharks/Razorsharks are quite small. Article describes the main fuselage as Piranha-sized with Devilfish proportions.
*All of the weapons, support systems, and heads from the Crisis, Enforcer, Broadside and Riptide kits (except the Riptide and Broadside main guns) are interchangeable with one another.
*the names of the new drones are out
Grav-Inhibitor drone, Pulse Accelerator -, and a recon drone. The others aren't mentioned, but a total of 6 different can be made from the Patfinder kit.
*supporting over watch is army wide
*sub munitions is an upgrade for hammer heads
*disruption pod is a 6+ (invulnerable???) save
*the Razorshark can swap it's burst cannon for a missile pod, houses two seeker missiles in compartments above it's wings - plus that the main armament is indeed a quad ion weapon with 360 arc.
*All ion weapons are apparently overchargeable.
*This leads us to the two Interceptor Drones on the Sunshark. They're detachable, and armed with ionrifles that can be overcharged to produce a S8 Blast each.
*the Sunshark's weaponry is twin-linked missile pod, 2 Interceptor Drones with twin-linked ionrifles, 2 seeker missiles and of course the main bombing armament. And the Sunshark is a Fast Attack choice in the FOC.
*Velocity Tracker is the Skyfire upgrade. Riptides and Broadsides at least can field these.
*Stealth teams are still in Elite-slot. And the upgrade for BS2 overwatch is called "Counterfire defence systems".
*the Riptide's Ion Accelerator is S8 Large Blast when overcharged. Not S9

Space Marines
Early this week we had a conflicting rumor that Space Marines would be released ahead of Eldar, and that we would see them in June. While this is much earlier and out of the Hastings order, its worth repeating, simply because of the validity of the source. Personally I believe that Eldar are still next, but sometimes you just never know.

Also this week, we took a look at rumors of a new Dreadnought, and this comes from over on Warseer from Bob Hunk.

Space Marine Mini-Contemptor Dreadnought
this sounds a lot like something that I've seen play tested at certain events. Might be a coincidence but if it's the same thing then I'd expect this "suit" to essentially be a mini-Contemptor dreadnought similar to the RT-era type, designed for living Marine heroes to wear into battle and then leave afterwards. Walker, WS/BS 5, AV11, 5++ save, two power fists (with alternative weapons) and an optional jump pack.

Eldar
According to last week's rumors, Eldar are next on the release order, and are scheduled for later in the year. Personally I think (speculation here) that Eldar will be right before or after our Apocalypse release, and Space Marines will fill the October or November time slot.

There was a little Eldar news this week, although its hard to say if it amounts to anything.
via Phil from the Faeit 212

two things to note from the hall of Minatures.
1) big artwork display going up for high elves.
2) all Beil-tan Eldar were missing, except for the wraith guard! Could this mean that if they being used for white dwarf or the new codex artwork we are without a doubt finally getting our plastic wraith guard.

via an anonymous source for Darnok
The only change in 40k was I no longer have to stock any Eldar (not even DA or Guardians).

The Plastic Thunderhawk
At the back of April's White Dwarf is an image called "Parting Shot", of a Thunderhawk Gunship chasing down some ork flyers and a couple stormtalons. This has led to all sorts of rumor speculation of a plastic Thunderhawk release around the corner to coincide with a 6th edition Apocalypse release.

Is it possible? Something like this would break the wallets of many of us. There are some differences in the model shown in the image, and the Forgeworld model, but they are mostly cosmetic. Its hard to tell at the moment if this is the mythical beast of our hobby, a plastic Thunderhawk.

Make sure to check back here at Bell of Lost Souls often to find out the latest on what is coming, and then join the conversation over on Faeit 212.

The mythical beast of 40k (plastic thunderhawk) has once again been possibly sighted. Is it going to become a reality?

Tau are now behind us, and looking ahead, it seems that Eldar are next, to be followed by an
Apocalypse Expansion, and then a Space Marine codex. This week, we take a look at the future, from the near, to the far flung reaches of 6th edition.

Contact with alien races always renews one's faith in humanity. It is my belief that foreign travel narrows the mind wonderfully. -Helem Boesch

Release Orders
When it comes to releases for 40k, we really are always referring back to Hastings release order. For reference and for those that do not follow Faeit's Tarot, it goes something like this (from a couple weeks ago)

From 75hastings69
Tau, Eldar, Orks, Space Marines, Tyranids, and then Imperial Guard...... However, Move the Orks.

From a Good Source on Faeit 212
1. Tau
2. Eldar
3. Space Marines
4. Nids/Ork tossup.
5. IG
6. The Nids or Orks that get pushed back.

Early this week, Stickmonkey weighed on the issue and was able to attach months to our release order. Interesting enough, this time frame, for at least the next few months through July correlated with a couple other sources on Faeit 212.

from Stickmonkey
May: High Elves
June: Eldar
July: Apocalypse
August: Lizardmen
September: Blood Bowl
October: Space Marines
November: Dwarves?
December: Hobbit
January: Tyranids
I had Dwarves a lot sooner than others, so its probably safe to leave a question mark. It could possibly be brettonians or wood elves. Im basing my prediction of Dwarves on where I recall them being design wise, which was right after lizardmen.

I've had multiple confirmations of space marines being the last 40k codex of 2013 and Tyranids being the first codex of 2014.

October is a Black Box release, blood bowl and Warhammer quest have come up, although...it could be something surprisingly different...

Interesting enough, that places Space Marines, which is sure to be a big release, right after the summer months, and places Eldar much earlier than was previously thought.

The Far Far Off Future
With our timelines going through possibly mid 2014, we are left with a lot of wondering whether or not anything beyond that was laid out. In the last half of the week this rumor bit hit, and while some of it seems a little far fetched or far away, its exciting to consider.

From anonymous sources at Faeit 212

*Wolves early / middle 2014, Inquisition fall / end 2014, Blood Angels fall / end 2015.*Not many releases for Wolves, just specific flyer variants.*Finecast big predator wolf.*Wulven units included.*They also get almost all Marine releases till then, apart of flyers.*Inquisition all three ordos, two different armies (grey knights and sororitas). Inquisitors can replace IG HQs.*Blood Angels on early re-design.

One thing to consider is that with the pace of this current release schedule, it will not be too far off before we are seeing almost all codices redone.

Flere rykter:

Sitat:
In the most recent turn of events this week, Eldar have made a strong appearance in the rumor/news, and definitely appear to be the next release.

Though I have seen within the Black Library and spoken to its most terrible guardian, I can never reveal what happened there; not to any man nor even the Emperor himself for I am so forsworn to powers beyond your knowledge.
I can only say that a time of inconceivable horror is about to begin. A time when mankind with all the might of the Imperium cannot endure when the strength of the Eldar fails. Even now, our doom stalks us across the stars.- at the Conclave of Har from The Har Transcriptorum

Eldar Plastic Farseer
While not much of a rumor, look what showed up yesterday. A plastic farseer is apparently ready to be released very soon. It looks like we are getting closer as more and more signs are pointing towards an Eldar release coming in June.

Eldar Release and Information
Following this weeks pic on the Eldar Farseer, some information started flowing. The most important of course is that unnamed people (their names held in confidence but some of the big boys) have said and confirmed that Eldar are indeed coming in June.

This of course follows the release orders of Hastings and what others have been saying. While earlier we had thought that "later in the year" meant November, it now looks very certain that Eldar are right around the corner.

Here are some of the latest rumors on rules

via an anonymous source from the Faeit 212 inbox
*Eldar are indeed coming.
*Path system has been revamped. Autarchs take paths that are now fixed in point cost (before they became more expensive the more you took) but do not make their aspect troops.
*Instead it allows corresponding aspects to be taken as compulsory troops.
*Ergo, the Path of the Striking Scorpions would allow you to take up to two striking scorpions as troops.
*If you also took the path of Swooping Hawks you could take up to two Swooping Hawks as troops or one and one.
*Guardians are a lot cheaper and have more options for special weapons.
*New transport for dire avengers / weapon platform (with no transport capacity).
*And lots of new goodies.
*If tau are the long range shooting army, eldar are a mix with potential units in short, mid and long range
*Long range comes almost exclusively from heavy support, however so you need to create a mix it seems.
*Aspects are still hyper focused and saw a very small decrease in points except fire dragons.

GW Army Builder Apps
I would really like to see an army builder app done from Games Workshop, and earlier the week we had a confirmation that one definitely was in the works. It looks like its being worked bit by bit to be released in stages.

from Faeit 212 (anonymous source)

Army building support is on the horizon with more and more features (like the psychic powers app) being added and integrated until it is something amazing.
It's being worked on and improved part by part so that it can be released in stages (not as a money grab, as previous pieces are upgraded at low cost, and only full purchases reflect the current value) in order to get it into peoples hands as fast as possible.

Make sure to check back here at Bell of Lost Souls often to find out the latest on what is coming, and then join the conversation over on Faeit 212.

Eldar are incoming, and already my wallet feels lighter. Comments and Concerns for a new codex?

Ja hvem så at High Elves skulle komme ut av det blå!

Her er mer om sci-fi slektningen deres Wink

Sitat:
This week has been all about the Eldar. From more confirmations to descriptions and sketches of what this release will look like.

Perfidious Eldar! These aliens had the stars in their grasp and now are left to sift the dust of their once fabulous realm. For all their intellect and mysticism they could not contain the beast within them, nor tame the wild monsters of the Shadow. Why should we pay them any heed?

-Grünwald, Ordo Xenos

Eldar
One thing is for certain, the latest rumor bits have Phil Kelly as being the personally admitted author of the new codex more than once.

With High Elves now officially announced and the models revealed, its time to turn out attention back to Warhammer 40k and see that many of the whispers are pointing towards a June a release.

The latest to chime in on an Eldar release in June is Neko.

I'm sorry, I thought I'd also mentioned this previously. I'll also confirm that we're getting our pointy-eared friends in June.

Eldar Miniatures
Eldar flyers, a Large Walker, and Jetbikes were described by people who are being said to have seen the models. They describe the fighter as similar to the Dark Eldar flyers, with slight changes to wings and nose, a large walker twice the size of a Wraith Lord, and a jetbike that very much fits the expectations of what we expect.

from Faeit 212

I can confirm the new jetbike is awesome and looks very similar to DE one with the rider leaning forward more, a larger engine beneath/behind the rider.
the fighter is also similar to DE apart from weapon and slight changes to wing and nose shape, I'm lead to believe there are multi options to the fighters weapon systems, being shuriken cannons, scatter laser, distortion cannon the last I may be wrong, as some sort bomb I believe is a distortion bomb is rumored as an option

from Best_Pone on Warseer

The pods on the wings are engines, and yes, this fighter doesn't have a forked nose. Overall, the length of the Hemyock is a little longer than the Wave Serpant chassis, and the cockpit is located in the nose of this particular design.

Oh, and I think you're all expecting the obligatory mega-walker. From the glance I got, it looks like a wraithlord scaled up to twice the height I guess.

I really think half the week was literally spent coming out with jokes and fun about the shape drawn by Best_Pone. Because of that I am not going to post up the image. You can find it on Faeit 212 if you are looking for it.

Rules and Information
The size and scope of what the rumors are showing us is a little bit larger than what we have come to expect for a 6th edition release, even for Eldar. We have seen the Eldar Farseer sprue from last week, and if we are expecting new jetbikes, a new walker, Farseer, two new flyers, a new tank chasis, and more, than this release will rival the Dark Eldar release back in 5th edition.

The real issue remains though, no 6th edition release has been this large. So by looking at the trends, this much cannot be coming.

So lets take a look at the latest from Stickmonkey from over on Faeit 212

*Eldar were supposedly getting the following:
*New tank chassis, 2 builds, between falcon and cobra in size, one build had transport capacity and some type of melta or flame based weapon (fusion cannon iirc) the other build was essentially a flakk cannon, but not the same as the fw firestorm, bigger tl guns.
*There was a new avatar sculpt but im pretty sure that ended up being a designer test seen at GD
*Wraithguard get a plastic box with new weapon variants. Lots of rumors of dial build, but nothing i've heard enough of to know what's true.
*Heavy rumors of new jetbikes, building guardian and shining spears.
*However, it seems to be a trend not to release too many rehash boxes. If we got wraithguard, jetbikes, and an avatar all in this release, well Ill be broke and need new shorts.
*Rumors have pointed to a new farseer model, and thats all but confirmed by your recent post.
*The bomber and fighter do not share a box from everything I've heard. The fighter is "very" similar to the nightwing, except for the wing shape. One of the two is rumored to use some form of distortion weapon, be it bomb or missiles i dont know.
*Rumors of a new aspect exist, the word i've heard is this has something to do with wraith constructs, but really even that is too vague.
*I know others have said there is a large wraith construct, but none of my sources are backing this now, fwiw.
*For the release there are two new aspect exarch or p lord (not sure which) sculpts in finecast, and one named hq, these are all new scuplts, but could be old characters.
*Ive been told guardians are getting a new box to make them and storm guardians. Again, i cant believe wed get so many redone plastics. But it makes sense on its own.
*So to boil it down, from the new new dept could be 2 flyers, a dual build tank, a new large walker/mc, a few blisters, and a new aspect.
*Then on top of that old models getting plastics.
Its just way too much for a release, so what will stick and what wont?

Make sure to check back here at Bell of Lost Souls often to find out the latest on what is coming, and then join the conversation over on Faeit 212.

An Eldar release on the scale of what we saw with their Dark kin back in 5th edition could very well be on the way. Can all of this really be coming?

På høy tid med litt nye rykter!

Kort oppsummert. Lovende med så mye på vei, og her er jo ikke Fantasy tatt med engang så egentlig er det mye mer som kommer fremover. Liker konseptet med supplemental codicies men vil ikke kjøpe noe der før det faktisk er noe jeg jeg liker nok.

Sitat:
The Codices
Coming down the pipe are the following. We're also hearing that the days of codices including units without models available at launch are over. Taking a look at the current books should give you a good hint of what units to look for when the new books ship.

-Space Marines (I'd guess synced up near Gamesday-UK)
-Tyranids Q1-14
-Imperial Guard (Q1-2 14)
-Orks ( after IG 14)

The Supplemental Codices
This seems to be GW's big new initiative. Each of these are priced at $40 and should follow the format of the Iyanden book. So GW gets to mine their rich IP for a lot of fluff, color plates, special missions and 2 pages of new rules. We hear that the general ratioto look for is 3-4 Supplemental Codices for each Army Codex. I would expect some codices (Marines) to get more while others get less. These books have been specifically whispered by name:

Eldar
Iyanden (shipped)
(3 of the following 4: Saim-Hann, Ulthwe, Biel-Tan, Alaitoc)

Tau
Farsight Enclave (July 13th)

Space Marines
White Scars (launched alongside the SM codex)
Imperial Fists ~editor's note: Black Templars included maybe?
Ultramarines
(others)

CSM
Black Legion (coming next after Farsight Enclave)
(other Traitor Legions)

Imperial Guard
Catachans
(others)

The New Weapons

The big talk in the rumor involves Graviton Guns, and their ability to deal with highly armored opponents. Now the graviton gun family has been with us since Rogue Trader, and just reappeared in the latest Forgeworld Horus Heresy book where they do this:

Graviton Gun: 18" S:* AP:4 Heavy1, Blast, Concussion, Graviton Pulse, Haywire

Graviton Cannon: 36" S:* AP:4 Heavy1, LargeBlast, Concussion, Graviton Pulse, Haywire

Graviton Pulse: Instead of rolling to wound normally with this weapon, any model caught in its blast must instead roll equal to or under their Strength on a D6 or suffer a wound (a roll od 6 always counts as a failure). After the Graviton pulse weapon has been fired, leave the Blast marker in place. This area now counts as both difficult and dangerous terrain for the next turn thanks to the gravity flux.

These weapons are quite unique, but not overpowered, and very situational. So if the design studio wants graviton weapons added to the main Space Marine codex, they have two choices.

a) use the existing rules from the Horus Heresy book which are neat but really nothing to write home about
b) make up divergent rules with more "punch", but undercut the Forgeworld rules that are only a few month's old.

Updating Ancient Kits
There is also talk of several old kits getting long-needed refreshes. First off, the venerable Tactical Squad kit.

This kit is very old, having last been updated in 2004. It's getting quite long in the tooth for probably the most important single SKU Games Workshop makes. Let's take a look at these sprues:

LOOK AT THOSE GAPS!!

These sprues have a LOT of space on their existing frames for new bits, and the only argument is what to add. Just look at any modern sprue, such as the recut CSM frame to see how tight GW can pack in the bits these days.

With converters going crazy for cool bits, and the runaway success of the Horus Heresy range, it would be easy to see a handful of new bits thrown in for: Mk2 Crusade, or Mk4 suits in addition to the more prevalent current Mk 6-8 suits. The Accessory sprue is just begging for more special and heavy weapons and assault options for the modern 6th edition Tactical Squad. Can I finally get some power weapons and combis please. I've only been waiting 9 years..

Stylistically the Astartes have come a long way since 2004. You see a much stronger embrace of their real world Roman Legion roots in the artwork and the current kits are a bit "clean" by comparison. I wouldn't be surprised to see some more filigree, straps and Roman Legionary inspired accessories, that you see all over the current metal Ultramarines.

Tactical Bits Rumors
Here is a list right off the rumormill of what is said to be in the new Tactical/Sternguard kit. I want to say take these with a dose of caution. This is a HIGHLY UNUSUAL release from the rumor perspective, with directly contradictory reports coming in from normally accurate sources. It has all the hallmarks of something fishy going on.

New Combo-box builds Tactical OR Sternguard
5 man box on 3 sprues, similar to the Blood Angels kits.

Shooting Weapons
6 heavy weapons (HB, HF, ML, PC, LC, MM) ~this seems too good to be true
2 flamers
2 hand flamers
2 plasmaguns
2 meltaguns
bolt pistols
grav gun
bolters
grav rifle
plasma pistol
3 combi bolter bases
3 combi-plasma add-on bits
3 combi-melta add-on bits
3 combi-flamer add-on bits
3 storm bolters

Marine Bodies
5 Legs
7 Torsos
12 Heads
5 Backpacks
18 Pauldrons

Assault Weapons
Power sword
Power fist
Power maul
Lightning claw
Chainsword

Misc
Back banner
Many purity seals and other thematic bits

Look for a slight price jump. If these rumors pan out, we are seeing soemthing on par with the Dire Avengers, with half the models per box, for roughly the same price, but in the case of marines, you would be loaded down with bits for everything, and have a combo kit that also replaces the Sternguard box.

If this is true, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Assault Marine/Vanguard Veterans get rolled into a similar product.

Rhino/Razorback BoxWe've all seen what happened to the Tau Skyray just a couple of months ago. It got it's sprue added to Hammerhead box, merging the two into a higher priced combo-kit. With Games Workshop always trying to consolidate similar kits into a smaller number of SKUs to free up retail space for new products, does anyone think this won't happen to perhaps their most popular selling vehicle kit?

Making a combo Rhino-Razorback kit would save retailer shelf space and tack on $5-10 to each kit that goes out the door, based on what happened to the Hammerhead. the only question is does anyone think GW won't do this?

CENTURION UPDATE:

Centurion Devastator Squad
Shooting weapons mounted both on sides of torso and under each fist.
Fist weapons: HB, LC, Graviton Cannons
Torso weapons: Hurricane Bolters, ML

Centurion Assault Squad
Shooting weapons mounted both on sides of torso and close combat weapons under each fist.
Fist Weapons: Siege Drill w/Melta, or Flamer per arm.
Torso weapons: Hurricane Bolters, Ironclad Assault Launcher.

So this lines up fairly well with all the big rumors over the last couple months. We have the dual anti-air tanks from EPIC, an oversized (and pricier) codex, an update to the ancient Tactical box, and replacement of the metal Sternguard/Vanguard boxes.

The centerpiece of the release looks to be the Centurian "uber-terminators".

Sitat:
RULES/BOOKS
- Codex: Space Marines with a very nice picture of badass looking Space Marine (probably best C:SM cover so far)
- confirmed the 7 limited versions
- none showed in WD, all mentioned obviously as mail-order only
- Apocalypse Warzone:Damnos will also be released (unsure if it’s digital only or not) – Damnos (see the BL book “Fall of Damnos” – basicly Necrons vs. Ultramarines)

NEW PLASTIC KITS
Space Marine Captain & Space Marine Librarian (2 separate clam-packs)
- not to confuse with multi-part customisable Space Marines Commander set which should stay around
- those are like Cadre Fireblade, Aspiring Champion etc… 1 pose, plastic
- Captain has Cato Sicarius-like helmet and lots of bling, has a very similar pose to Captain from AOBR, Power Sword and Combi-Grav
- Librarian has beard (a lot of SM beards + bald heads in this release) and a skull-cap thingy wihich makes him look a bit like… Merlin
- Librarian also has a power staff (or whatever you call that) held horizontally, and one ugly cherub-like servitor cupid (creepy stuff)

Reclusiam Command Squad
- contains the mentioned SM Command Squad (don’t see any changes here), a plastic Chaplain and… Razorback – all for 55£
- this definetly isn’t the prettiest Chaplain model out there but it has some nice bitz, nice big skully Crozius and 2 heads – one bald with Kano-like face implant and the other is a skull helmet (looks a bit iffy)
- he also has purity seals with massive ribbons/parchments blown by the wind

Sternguard Veterans
- all the best elements fromt heir old metal versions, long loincloths, tons of bling, ornaments on helmets and armor, seems to have lot of bitz
- finally we get plastic versions of combi-weapons, all seem to be here including the new Combi-Grav
- nice new plastic Heavy Flamer and Heavy Bolter (version with drum-mag)
- badass heads and poses (yap, another bald head with beard)
- sergeant has a “Roman-mohawk” on his helmet (not the Sicarius one, other way around)
- 5 models in box

Vanguard Veterans
- slightly less bling then their on-foot veteran brothers
- nice ornaments on chainswords and power sword (relic/master-crafted versions?)
- mohawk head for sarge (like Lord Executioner, perhaps it’s a trend for jump-packers?)
- some nice aquila markings on jump packs
- awesome power-sword / relic blade
- 5 models in box

(NEW) Tactical Squad
- 10 models, price increased slightly
- not many changes here, will nicely mix with bits from old kit
- major addition is more head variants and new Grav-Gun and Grav-Pistol
- some new ornaments on backpacks and shoulder pads (not all, just few bits to make some difference among marines)
- interesting bits: Auspex is back! (but DA heralded that already), set of bolter/arms during reload (looks cool), badass Combi-Flamer, nice new (smaller) Power Fist

Stalker / Hunter
- the rumored dual-kit AA tank
- lots of new parts, side armor is massive and has some kind of pistons that seem to be pinning it to the ground
- front plate is also different from other vehicles on Rhino-chassis: Stalker / Hunter has one that looks a bit Heresy-era with a “bumper” that looks similarly to the one Landspeeder has (that belt-of-cubes bumper thing)

- Stalker is the one with dual 3-barrel autocannon-like guns, it also has a nice radar dish, really badass look
- it’s described as rapid-firing AA (guess it’s SM version of IG Hydra)
- now here’s big thing: it’s not twin-link! those are TWO SEPARATE guns that are mentioned to be able to shoot at TWO SEPARATE targets

- Hunter is the one that looks like that vintage SM Hunter tank – one massive AA turret barrel
- shoots “Skyspear Rockets” but no details on special rules here

Centurion Devastator Squad / Centurion Assault Squad
- the “Big Suits” everyone is talking about, apparently they are this release’s big spotlight
- Devastators are Heavy Support (duh!) and Assaults are… Fast Attack (what did you expect?)
- come in plastic kits, 3 models per box
- they really look like if the exoskelton is worn ON the Power Armour – their heads look super tiny
- they all seem to have same weapon in each hand and something mounted on the chest
- the Devastator options displayed contained Lascannons and Heavy Bolters
- the Assault options were Breaching Drills (like that arm FW’s Siege Dread has) with Stormbolters(?) attached, no other arm option shown
- the “chest weapon” apparently gave us choice of : frag lanuchers, mini-hurricane bolter (?!) and some rockets (chest mounted Typhoon ML?)

Breaking: Yet More Space Marines

Now for me the Centurions are interesting and we need to see them in the round at the formal GW announcement to get a feel for the kits. Pretty much EVERY release cycle some kit comes out that looks HORRID in a still picture and much better when we see the 360 views.

BUT, the real crown jewels of this release will be the new Tactical/Sternguard kits. Let's be honest, these are the kits that will be purchased in droves by the masses to build and fill out all those boots on the ground Space Marine players want. If they wow us with amazing poses, cool bits, and great detail everything else is moot and GW will be able to breathe easy.

On the other hand, if the Design Studio gives Centurions AMAZING rules, they will fly off shelves even if they looked like Nagash. Remember the Storm Raven folks? It's still the ungainly flying turkey it was at launch - we've just gotten used to it.

Finally I am CRAZY excited about the 178 page codex. That is going to be a monster and 1st hand accounts are now saying the Black Templars are in there - apparently with a Supplemental Codex in the works.

I for one am happy about that. One less "full sized marine codex" frees up a codex slot for a new army. Wipe away your Black Templar tears with thoughts of what you think GW could do with that new army slot

Ja det var vel kanskje den største på en gooood stund!
